My theory is that the holes are smaller than they could be, resulting in enough solid metal left to block about half the flow. Now I am searching for a screen that has more area available for water flow, but will still be effective in catching debris. I am still using it in my main bathroom even though it only goes in half way. Thankfully, it has holes on the sides to let the water drain. I've only used it a month or so but it shouldn't rust as it is chrome. Only time will tell. I recommend this product...I just wish it would fit my sink. I give it 5 stars based on the quality. I won't rate it lower as I'm rating the strainer, not the sink drain. |
